Measure across the back from shoulder point to shoulder point.
Sleeve
Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.
Chest
Measure from one side seam to the other, straight across, one inch down from the armhole. Multiply by 2 to get the full measurement.

Measure from the top of the shoulder (at collar seam) straight to the bottom hem.
