The cherry blossom trees are blooming in Prospect Park. I saw them this morning with my own two eyes (proof above). And, in an era of ceaseless bad news, it feels good to see nature put on such a beautiful show.
In our bio we write: "Life is worth enjoying, even when it's sad or painful or boring." And, right now, seems like that theory is being tested. So, here's what I recommend: whenever possible, take a moment to notice the magic of ordinary things.
We can't minimize what's happening, but we can definitely carve out a chunk of space for other thoughts. For example, let's take 30 seconds to look at this stick: can you believe it just decided to make all those groovy turns?
